Solo Exhibit

Tom has been awarded a 2012 solo exhibition at the Woodstock Artist's Association and Museum (WAAM), February 11th through March 4th, 2012. Opening reception Saturday February 11th 4-6pm. Artist talk on Sunday February 12th at 2pm.The show entitled Rooted in Silence: Trees of the Catskill Mountains, will feature new as well as early images of the Catskill regions most magnificent tree life. The show will also include a guide to the natural history depicted in each black and white limited edition silver gelatin exhibition print. Additional materials such as fine art notecards and posters will be available in the WAAM gift shop. An important new project began early this year. Tom entered into an agreement with reknowned editor and art book producer Tim Hill of Artbook Press to begin the development of a new book on the Catskill Mountains. Tentatively titled Forever Wild: The Catskill Mountains, this new volume will be a black and white fine art photographic coffeetable book depicting the incredible beauty and diverse natural history of the Catskill Mountain region. Hill is a distinguished book editor and designer with a long successful career in the field. He has worked with many widely known artists and photographers including Ansel Adams (editor- Yosemite and the Range of Light, New York Graphic Society 1979). It is an honor to be able to collaborate with Tim on this exciting project. More news will be posted here as it develops.

Hooray! Tom has received a prestigious Gold Award in Black & White Magazine's Single Image Contest 2011 for an image that will be published in the Special Issue #80 of the magazine. That issue is scheduled to arrive on newsstands the first week in December. There are only 15 winners in this
category from thousands of entries from across the globe. Black & White Magazine ( http://www.bandwmag.com ) is a high-quality journal for collectors of fine photography sold in 50 countries.
